  1. I think this pieces material palette is fitting of the environment within which it sits and works well as a symbol of technological advancement with that of the railway and what not. On Meyer en Van Schooten's website it states that the internal timber boarding inside gives the interior a “warm and welcoming and environment”, this I don't agree with and believe that the interior in daytime hours is a cold and unresponsive environment. At night this is all change and with the lighting scheme employed in the design feels more welcoming and creates a mood of the space.

    All in all though a nice scheme that works well with its context and the constraints of the site.
