America's Housing Patterns

My latest Ideabook at Houzz zooms over the United States, looking at the various patterns created by houses, particularly in the suburbs. Below is a sneak peek, but head over to Houzz to read about fairway housing, fly-in houses, tract mansions, and a few alternatives to traditional sprawl.

  1. Nice collection! We've always admired crop circles and other agricultural patterns from the sky, so it's no surprise that some of these tidy designs are so appealing. Could be interesting as a series of quilts...

  2. Good idea. Just to make a thousand examples what does work and what doesn't. I don't know about anybody who use a satellite maps of cities, to make sense in contemporary architecture, and its a pity. Because its simple, and everybody would simply understand it.
