My Micro NY
Today at the Museum of the City of New York, Mayor Bloomberg announced the winner of the adAPT NYC competition for a micro-unit apartment building in Kips Bay.
The winner is "My Micro NY" from a team made up of Monadnock Development, the Actors Fund Housing Development Corporation, and nARCHITECTS. Their winning project is a 10-story building with 55 micro-unit apartments ranging from 250 to 370 square feet.

I love the winter construction rendering. One crane operator working and about 30 guys in hard hats and safety vests standing around observing the progress. Looks pretty accurate according to the various job sites I've visited recently.
ReplyDeleteGreat thoughts you got there, believe I may possibly try just some of it throughout my daily life...
