Though if you'll be spending most of your time in those cities, I'd also recommend Toto's architectural guides. For Tokyo, I documented my trip at The Archi-Tourist. I also posted photos of my trip on my blog. Must sees include the Church of Light by Ando, the Sendai Mediatheque by Ito (didn't see it, but wished I did), FOA's Ferry Terminal in Yokohama, all the Omotesando buildings in Tokyo (Dior by SANAA, Prada by HdM, Kengo Kuma's building, Toyo Ito's, Ando's, etc.), all of Kyoto, anything by Ando, etc.John Hillhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14842328320680692310noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6531343.post-27359580874194187652010-07-16T22:22:35.962-04:002010-07-16T22:22:35.962-04:00I am planning a trip to japan in Jan 2011 specific...I am planning a trip to japan in Jan 2011 specifically to check out the new architecture.
