It seems as if students / practitioners are quick to follow conventions before even beginning to consider challenging them with new and emergent practices, this could be due to preconceived inefficiencies in being able to search out and find meaningful reasons to change convention.

But I don't think this has to be the case, like you said, architects are also people! Instead of trying to split ourselves into two why can we not look inside to depart on a study - using instinct, that gut feeling. If anyone we are the most prepared to bring up such a topic for discussion, as we are trying to incorporate thinking from many different fields in our judgment process, and not just a single view point.

Anyways. Thanks a lot
Definitely has me thinking.

- Publish or PerishAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16915256169056128612noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6531343.post-64654714570591853852013-10-26T14:17:43.642-04:002013-10-26T14:17:43.642-04:00You are forgetting the impact of the bureaucracy o...You are forgetting the impact of the bureaucracy of codes and regulations that architects must deal with while trying to hear their clients.kitman3https://www.blogger.com/profile/05806607019205827576noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6531343.post-38326684815523954782013-10-25T08:19:13.249-04:002013-10-25T08:19:13.249-04:00Architects run a service so they must listen to th...Architects run a service so they must listen to the clients. But I know how difficult this is, especially with the clients today that don´t understand the kind of job a architect is supposed to do. So is always a struggle! Great job for Starbucks.
