Here's a few views of the latest Studio 804 house, 3716 Springfield. Studio 804 is a design/build program at the University of Kansas School of Architecture and Urban Design directed by Dan Rockhill. For more information check out my TENbyTEN article on Rockhill and Studio 804, "A Reality Dose on the Prairie."
Photographs are by archaalto, who has many more photos in his flickr set on the project.

beautifully detailed! its truly a fantastic effort on the part of the students.
ReplyDeletethe only thing i don't like are the barn doors.
thanks for the link, archidose!
ReplyDeletea little more about the house and the program--this year's residence was by far the most aggressive to date in regards to sustainability systems and going for LEED platinum. also-studio 804 is still trying to be self-sustaining as a non-profit group by using the money acquired from selling last year's project to use towards the next year.
This sounds like a fantastic student group. There is a similar student group called Design Bridge at the University of Oregon doing some great projects. They are also growing an organization to be a non profit group dedicated to designing and building projects for the Eugene community. Check them out:
