Unexplained Absence
Pardon the week-long delay in posting to this page. My wife and I are now proud parents of a baby girl. It happened last week and has occupied all my time, energy, and thoughts. This blog just had to wait. And it will wait for at least another week, or more likely two, as we adjust to everything.
[Her onesie proclaims, "it's good to be green." As it is.]
In the meantime, please check out the quality blogs and other web pages linked on the sidebar. And shhhhh, the baby's sleeping!

ReplyDeleteHey, congrats. Hopefully you will impart upon her the most valuable life lesson of all, "don't become an architect, become a blogger!"
ReplyDeleteShe's beautiful -- congratulations to you and your wife! And for pete's sake, don't worry about taking a blog hiatus. Sleep when the baby is sleeping, support one another, and ease into this new adventure!

ReplyDeleteThanks to everybody for congrats and well wishes. Even with the lack of sleep, the diaper changes and the crying, I have to admit parenthood is quite fun.
ReplyDeleteTo answer a couple questions:
Yes, we're going to use cloth diapers, as soon as she fits the ones we have. We're using 7th Gen newborn diapers in the meantime. And does she ever fly through those!
And given that both my wife and I are architects, we're hoping our daughter is anything but! ;)
