  1. With the brick on one side and the wood on the opposite, I wonder how this plays out acoustically.

  2. Lynn - In my experience with designing spaces like this the side walls are used to scatter sound, so both the brick wall and the articulated wood wall should work. If they need to work symmetrically, though, I'm not sure.

  3. We are renovating a high school auditorium, where our latest scheme uses an orchestra pit/thrust platform to divide the bottom tier from the stage which is at the same level. In other words this photo was very evocative of the sketchup model my partner has had on his screen this week and I appreciated seeing this in the flesh. Kudos to the architects and the photographer! The website for the school shows what they started with and this is an excellent renovation.
