BBG Living Roof Installation

A project I'm looking forward to visiting, the Brooklyn Botanic Garden's New Visitor Center, designed by Weiss/Manfredi, finally opens next month. The "landscraper" includes site design and a vegetative roof designed by HM White Site Architects; the latter is documented in the following time-lapse video.

  1. I think the installation will be great thing to freshen up the garden, and having something that cool on your roof is a dream come true!

  2. I fully embrace the idea for creating something like the above shown "landscraper"! This seems so unique and interesting concept- having a vegetative roof and actually showing to us its making was something that really drew my attention. To watch how it has been covered by snow and watered by rains and then so beautifully growing greener is amazing. I want to live in such a building too!
